Humans have a long history of kissing. Europeans kiss both cheeks. Parents kiss their child's cheek. The Intuit rub noses. The french kiss by... ;). Kissing, both casual and romantic, is a common practice, but but we really don't know where or how it began.There are several different theories as to how kissing all began:
In ancient times, a mother would chew up food and pass it directly to the mouth of her baby. What started as a sign of affection between mother and child most likely spread to romantic relationships. However, some cultures had the same practice of passing food to their children, but knew nothing about kissing.
Some believed that our souls lived in our breath and that kissing brings your soul together, thus combining you together for eternity. This is a romantic theory, but not really one that can be proven true.
Kissing gets you close enough to your partner to smell their scent, giving you knowledge of the person. Animals practice a similar behavior by rubbing against each other.
The theories are just that though. There is no proof or record of where and how kissing originally began. We do know that Europeans were kissing during the Greek and Roman times. It also appears that some form of kissing may have started in India as there are texts from around 1500 B.C. that describe the custom of rubbing noses together, now commonly referred to as 'Eskimo Kissing'.While we don't know for sure when or where kissing first began, the reference to 'Eskimo Kissing' supports the theory that kissing gets you close to your partner in order to pick up on their scent. When you inhale your partner's scent, you subconsciously learn a lot about the other person by their smell. As we previously noted, most animals engage in a similar behavior.It seems then that the modern romantic kiss most likely evolved as a way of unconsciously testing the genetic fitness of a potential mate. While this may be the underlying reason as to why we began kissing, it's not really the main reason as to why we continue to practice it. Indian women in USA - Life of Desi girls in America

Indian women come to USA as a student for higher studies, on business trip, as a dependent when they get married and join their spouse working in USA or as a visitor for few months. Life of Indian women in USA is pretty much the same as in India. With large Desi population in America, Indian communities spread throughout. In some places like California, New Jersey, Texas, Illinois etc, there are lot of Indian people who are living there for many years, and it will be almost like 'little India'. With the technology growing rapidly, we are able to communicate and stay connected with their loved ones quiet often. Talking regularly, sharing pictures, viewing online by the web cam all make them feel at home .
Women students coming to USA for studies is increasing these days. With so many terrible, negative incidents happening to students in colleges in USA, it may be daunting to them, but as this is for personal growth, they have to take a bold step. Being away from the home land, it is very important that they are aware and alert of the situations around them and learn to be safe. My advice to students would be 'Be the same as how you would be in your home, when you are being watched and cared by parents and the loved ones'. If, it is wrong and you would not do this at home, don't do hit here too. Simple! Do a good research on the place that you would land in for your studies, know about the safe neighborhoods to live, way to commute, insurance, accessibility to college and shopping your daily needs. Get advice from the students who studied or is studying there. Look out for some Indian contacts, friends, may be a friend of friends or so, who is living in your chosen area, which will always be helpful. Make good friends in college, have fun! Like anywhere else, walking around the streets late-night is dangerous here too. One has to be open-minded and out-going but not to the extent that you place yourself in danger. Sometimes, their parents or in-laws visit them, so that it will be lot helpful and they can worry less about the kids. Dependent women, who are not working, are take care of house hold chores, pick up and dropping of kids at schools, kids studies, shopping and they get some time to engage themselves in doing what they like, developing their hobbies. They also do some voluntary services at the local library, churches, public schools etc. They get around with other families living in their neighborhood making friends, doing some chit chat at times, letting all the kids to play together and mingle with one another, arranging pot-luck get-together. When ever there are some Indian festivals, there will be some special services at the temples, or at community halls so you get to meet all the Indians living in that area. Women travel to USA on different purpose. Totally, USA is a good place to live. You may feel out of place, as soon as you land. You may miss your loved ones, fun filled festivals, lively day to day experiences in your mother land, yet your life goes on. As time goes on, you get used to the place and people, and get to enjoy life!
